Our Story
Ms. Tina and Ms. Emma are both born and raised right here in our local Arvada, Colorado. They met 8 years ago while both working at a corporate private preschool. From the very beginning they instantly connected after realizing how much each other cared and are dedicated to the children in their care. While at their previous hire they grew their experience and education working with children in a large private center, their next chapter took them to private nannying. In that moment after being able to experience both types of childcares are when they realized each source of childcare had its pros and cons. That’s when they decided to open Arvada Busy Bee Childcare. Where the ratios of children to teacher is low, the connection from teacher to child is truly created, the flexibility to go on field trips and outing was accessible, and where they found their true passion could thrive in their own private in-home childcare. With their combined background of 19 years in Early Childhood Education and their versatile combined personal education they are able to make one of the most sought-after environments/ in-home daycares for your child/children to be in.
Ms. Tina
Ms. Tina (Kristina) is a caring, responsible, talented educator who has been in the ECE field for eleven years. She is incredibly passionate about Early Childhood Education and is even large center Director (principal) certified. Ms. Tina puts all of her careered years, education and knowledge directly in the classroom with our Arvada Busy Bee children. She has a huge passion for sensory play and loves to incorporate it in weekly lesson plans. One of Ms. Tina’s main passions is being able to let Arvada Busy Bee children, just be children. Letting them (safely) explore the outdoors on their own and create beautiful nature-based memories. Not to mention Ms. Tina is a Colorado Native, so she loves to go on some of the most incredible local field trips that blossoms children’s knowledge to dive even deeper into the weekly educational themes.
Ms. Emma
Ms. Emma started her Early Childhood Education career at a large corporation private Early Childhood Education center, she has been working in ECE for 9 years. She has a large compassion for early childhood curriculum, in the last 7 years she has taken specific classes and trainings as well as worked hand in hand with a large center curriculum department to create a specialized curriculum for Early Childhood Education. As well as being a certified Conscious Discipline Coach honing in and specializing in children's emotional and social needs. Ms. Emma continues to study and keep updated on Colorado educational guidelines to make sure each and every child at the end of their career with Arvada Busy Bee’s is completely ready to be sent off to kindergarten not only educationally but socially and emotionally. With her combined experience of working in a large center and her time spent as a private nanny she is bringing the best of both worlds to Arvada Busy Bee’s Childcare to provide your children with the most loving childcare and memories.

-Arvada Busy Bee Childcare is a Colorado licensed in-home daycare, that requires all providers/subs to be updated on CPR, First Aid, Standard Precautions and all Colorado required ECE trainings.
-Tuition is due every first of the month or split between the first and fifteenth of the month
-Arvada Busy Bee accepts children from 12 weeks up to 5 years old and ready to move up into kindergarten (depending on current enrollment/openings)
-Average child capacity is 10 children (but additional children can be added up to 12, depending on ages of currently enrolled children, per Colorado licensing rules and regulations)
-We use ‘Conscious Discipline’ created by Dr. Becky Bailey for emotional needs
-Parents/guardians are responsible for providing their children with a nutritionally valuable and age-appropriate daily lunch. Arvada Busy Bee will provide children with all milk and am/pm snacks
-Arvada Busy Bee is responsible for all supplies and field trip fees (aka we have NO hidden cost)
-We are open year-round, although we do have a school year curriculum and a summer curriculum that are quite different to help support all children education and emotional needs.
-We use an app called ‘Daily Connect’ to keep parents updated on their children’s day such as your child's daily projects, toileting, and food intake.
